Founded in 1980 by Mr. Mickey Chen in Dacun Township, Changhua, Taiwan, Kingmaker Group has grown from a local brand shoe factory into a trusted name among global footwear manufacturers. With nearly five decades of expertise and vision, we have evolved from our humble beginnings to become a leading force in the industry. Anticipating shifts in the market, we expanded to Zhuhai, China in 1988, followed by Vietnam in 2000 and Cambodia in 2006—strategically positioning ourselves ahead of many other footwear factories in Asia.


We specialize in “Rugged Footwear”—durable, comfortable, and stylish footwear loved by both outdoor enthusiasts and urban professionals. More than just an OEM, we partner with our clients from material sourcing and product design to prototype development and precision finishing—turning concepts into premium-quality products that stand the test of time.

Introduce automated cutting equipment in Kingmaker Vietnam(KMV) and Cambodia(KMC) facilities to improve efficiency towards automated production

The Group further invested in the central Vietnam joint venture with Evervan Group

Completed the expansion program by setting up new facilities on an adjacent site in southern Vietnam

2011 - 2015

The group built it’s first factory in Central Vietnam and started operations in March 2015.
2014

The group held the ground breaking ceremony for its fourth production building in its factory in South Vietnam (VSIP Binh Duong near HCM) in September 2014.

The group further expanded into Central Vietnam (VSIP in Quangnai) and held a ground breaking ceremony in May 2014.

The group established its own outsole factory with JV partners in Cambodia, which started operations in February 2014.

The group built its third production building in its South Vietnam factory.

Kingmaker Cambodia factory begins its operations in 2006.

2001 - 2005

2005
By 2005, Kingmaker has a total of 37 assembly lines: 16 lines in Zhuhai and 10 lines in Zhongshan, China; and,11 lines in Vietnam. Kingmaker adds another production facility to its Kingmaker Vietnam facility.
2004
Kingmaker was recognized by the "Saigon Times" as one of the "TOP FOURTY EXCELLENT FACTORIES IN VIETNAM" in 2004.
2003
Kingmaker was recognized and awarded by Forbes in 2002 and in 2003 as one of the best small-cap enterprises.
2000
Kingmaker established a 2-assembly line factory in Binh Duong Province, Vietnam in VSIP (Vietnam Singapore Industrial Park).

1980 - 2000

1999
By 1999, Kingmaker has 21 assembly lines and reaches the monthly production capacity of one million pairs of shoes per month.
1994
Kingmaker Footwear was listed on the Hong Kong Hang Seng Stock Exchange (Stock code:01170) in 1994.
1988
Kingmaker opened its first factory in China (Zhuhai, Guangdong) and also established its first office in Hong Kong.
1980
Mr. Mickey Chen founded the first factory of Kingmaker Footwear Group in Taiwan in February 1980.
